Social Gaming for Events

Is it possible to integrate fun into education, networking, team-building or problem solving and still accomplish valuable results? The answer is an astounding YES! Studies have shown that the introduction of interactivity, fun and competition can actually enhance the learning process, contribute to knowledge retention and develop a community. In today's world, technology enables event planners to leverage the concept of fun to create social games that transform the participant experience. In this session, participants will:

• Understand the fundamentals of game mechanics,
• Explore some of the tools that can be used to create social games,
• Apply the theory and mechanics of gaming to develop a custom game.

The majority of the session will be spent in teams where the participants will work together to develop a social game for events.
